Re-Kreacja is an interactive projection mapping installation inspired by the architecture of the façade of the Contemporary Art Gallery Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow. In the project, we transferred the expressive structure of this brutalist concrete façade into the gallery interior, creating its multimedia “re-creation”.
Using interactive projection mapping technique, we reconfigured the recognisable concrete forms into an audiovisual mechanism that responds to the movement and presence of viewers. The reconstructed façade can be animated through simple gestures, allowing the audience to directly influence the work.
By bringing the organic, dynamic character of the façade into the white modernist space of the gallery interior, we wanted to emphasise architecture as a living matter — constantly used, interpreted and redefined by its community. For us, Re-Kreacja was a symbolic gesture of renewal and a reflection on the future of one of Kraków’s most distinctive examples of post-war architectural heritage.
Re-Kreacja artwork is included in the art collection of the Contemporary Art Gallery Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, Poland.
