Resonantia Lux is an audiovisual projection mapping inspired by the vibrancy and lasting influence of European visual art heritage, highlighting its universal and unifying value. Combining light, 3D animations, sound, and cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, we have designed a site specific mapping tailored to the facade of the House of European History in Brussels.
The title Resonantia Lux can be interpreted as a metaphor for amplifying light, which here represents the heritage of European culture and art. Resonance also refers to an echo, as the project draws inspiration from the past and artistic heritage, which are revived in a modern form using light as the medium. The project resonates with the modern European movements such as Bauhaus, Neoplasticism and Op Art, echoing the masterpieces of the great European artists like Piet Mondrian, Victor Vasarely and Jan Lenica among others. We have merged the past with the present to create a modern, spatial audiovisual experience.
Resonantia Lux was showcased on the façade of the House of European History in Leopold Park in Brussels during the Bright Festival from the 13th to the 16th of February 2025 thank to collaboration with Polish Culture Institute in Brussels.
