Designing with AI: Visual Identity of Patchlab Festival 2025

Elektro Moon Vision created the visual identity and trailer for the 14th Patchlab Digital Art Festival 2025. designed in a deep dialogue with artificial intelligence, during a one-month residency in Athens (July 2025) within the ACCESS research program (EU Horizon) at the LIBRA studio specializing in custom interactive visual analytics and AI-powered design.

At the center of this creation stands AIA – a figure generated in response to questions posed to AI about how it envisions its own image. The process unfolded as a multi-stage artistic experiment where human intuition and technology intertwined. A wide range of generative tools was used – from ChatGPT prompts to models such as ComfyUI, Krea 1, Kling 2.1, Gemini, Flux Kontext Pro, and Wan 2.2 – gradually shaping AIA’s face as a hybrid of code, imagination, and digital visions.

The result is a symbolic figure, combining organic and synthetic traits that reflect both the expectations and the anxieties surrounding artificial intelligence. AIA becomes not only the visual emblem of the festival but also a question about how artificial intelligence can help co-create new aesthetic and narrative languages. Title and other graphic elements were created by Studio Widok.
